A Medical Director position is available with Liberty Healthcare Corporation at the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital's inpatient psychiatric unit. This is a 38-bed hospital-based unit which serves both adult and geriatric patients.
This is a position that will enjoy a mix of direct patient care and clinical leadership responsibilities, including:
Providing clinical leadership to a team of four Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
Providing inpatient psychiatric services to a caseload of adult and geriatric patients
Providing consultative psychiatric services to the hospital's emergency department and general medical service
In partnership with the Director of Behavioral Health, ensuring all patients receive high-quality mental health services that are patient-centered and consistent with evidence based best practices
Monitoring patient clinical outcomes and implementing quality improvement measures as necessary
Actively participating in staff recruitment, retention and training activities
Collaborating with a wide array of hospital and Liberty Healthcare leaders and stakeholders
Ensuring the unit is in constant state of preparedness for both Joint Commission and CMS
Conducting peer review activities and monitoring patient charts to ensure documentation supports treatment activity and third party payer requirements
Providing consultation and clinical recommendations on difficult cases
Participating in various medical staff and hospital committees
Providing on-call services
Participating in hospital-based education of medical students and other trainees
Direct patient care responsibilities are estimated at 75% and administrative/leadership responsibilities at 25%.

Please note - Psychiatrists who are soley interested in clinical patient care (non-administrative) responsibilities are encouraged to apply. Part-time schedules - with the option to work weekdays and/or weekends will be considered.
Skills/Requirements
Qualified candidates will be Board Certified in Psychiatry and possess a license to practice medicine in Michigan (or be eligible to apply). Knowledge of current psychopharmacology and best practices in Psychiatry is required. Prior experience in clinical leadership and management of psychiatric services is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
