Where the Chemistry Happens? Maintenance Technician ? Electrical Instrumentation / Wyandotte MI (1800681) The Electrical Instrument Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Electrical and Instrument equipment at the BASF Wyandotte Manufacturing site. This includes DC drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as PLC?s, VFD?s and HMI devices. General Responsibilities: Perform electrical, instrumentation and/or automation maintenance repairs including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting Design and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings and P&ID?s. Perform troubleshooting, repair, calibration and preventative maintenance of all process control devices and maintain documentation. Ensure that instrument/electrical PM?s are completed per schedule and within the specifications of the process requirements Gather and analyze technical data and recommend needed repairs or modifications Maintain all drawings Operate, maintain and install complex equipment Calibrate equipment and maintain calibration Provide technical support for equipment installation and repairs Utilize a hand-held HART communicator to diagnose and set-up instruments Troubleshoot and repair 480Vac 3-phase motor starter circuits Actively participate in plant safety meetings. Works within BASF site and corporate procedures. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 25 lbs. Bending, kneeling, squatting, and crawling Wrist turning and finger manipulation Climb vertical, fixed ladders with ladder cages Climb portable step and extension ladders Push and pull up to 25 lbs. Twist, turn and reach above shoulder level Simple to firm grasping ability Work within confined spaces . The Electrical Instrument Technician will work primarily day-shift working hours, with overtime and on-call availability as required. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You? The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
