Pilot Plant Technician - Wyandotte, MI (1802024) As part of the premier piloting facility in north America, the Pilot Plant Technician independently operates laboratory and pilot reactor systems in Research Engineering Services (RES). Reactors range from 500ml to 2,300 gallons, and are used to support product & process development, as well as, commercial production. Under the guidance of experts, the Technician is responsible for all aspects of personal safety, product quality, and operating all aspects of the reactors, as well as, filling, loading, and unloading systems and their auxiliary equipment such as bins, filters, blend tanks, and utility equipment for air, nitrogen, cooling water, and steam. The Pilot Plant Technician is trained by RES to create high quality finished goods and manage hazardous raw materials in a safe and efficient manner. This includes running of reactors, filters, pumps, load/unload of tank trucks, box trailers, railcars, totes, or drums as required. Formula for Success: You Will? adhere to all BASF Safe Work practices, maintaining excellent area housekeeping support safety program through participation and suggestions clearly documenting observations and process readings, safely and properly collecting samples record keeping such as, electronic process data reports and database maintenance communicating (verbally and written) status of operations and equipment review, update, and occasionally write operating procedures & JSA's interface with control systems to ensure required process conditions are met troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions safely handle and accurate measurement of all chemical ingredients on lab and pilot scale complete chemical lab tests such as, pH, titrations, pulling samples for analysis respond to emergency or abnormal condition according to established procedures prepare and isolate equipment for maintenance and/or contractors and issuing work permits. Our Pilot Plant Technicians will: Work with P&IDs, PFDs, PHA, HAZOPs (or similar), Management of Change and SDS Be operating a Fork Truck and HAZWOPER certified Lift 25 Kg, handle 55-gal drums on occasion, and work on elevated platforms Safely handle hazardous materials, mutagens, carcinogens, reproductive/ fertility toxins, developmental toxins and value his/her own safety and the safety of others The Pilot Plant Technician will work a rotating shift with overtime as required Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
