We are seeking a professional like you to join our team to own critical account management activities to ensure our team achieves current and future target objectives. Our collaborative culture leverages our sales, technical service and marketing teams' experience in the execution of our marketing strategies and translates them into profitable and sustainable business for BASF.
In this role, you will manage a balanced approach in farming existing customers and hunting for new customers, actively seek to improve day-to-day work efficiencies, propose any process improvements to peers and managers, and provide necessary feedback into strategic business decisions impacting your customer accounts and our future business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for the execution of the market segment strategies applicable to your customer base.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Engineering or Business and professional background in Sales and/or Application/Business Development, you will negotiate pricing, service offerings, non-disclosure agreements and terms to propose and execute contracts with customers to generate the maximum value for BASF. Additionally, you will develop unique value proposition arguments for your customers and manage and implement value pricing efforts, price increases, and problem resolution with customers.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will develop and execute regional strategic account plans that meet or exceed set annual objectives and budgets for accounts and effectively manage business relationships with key decision makers and influencers at the accounts.
Your keen ability to be a proven and highly effective problem solver will differentiate you in our business.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate with marketing and technical service personnel to develop and commercialize new products and applications.
Demonstrating your experience in Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Technical Service and your capability to identify new and highly profitable applications, you will leverage existing products at current and new accounts.
Your ability to influence others will be a valued asset as you drive relationships between senior leaders and strategic customers and influence and lead regional cross functional teams to accelerate the growth and profitability of your sales region.
Using your strong ability to deal with complex business issues and have organizational awareness, you will manage messaging to internal and external customers.
Relying on your experience in the automotive industry and with polyurethanes and/or plastics, you will share market and customer intelligence with Market Segment Leaders to help challenge and refine market segment strategies and the prioritization of innovation resources.
Your commitment to customer satisfaction will be evident as you take ownership of the customer that engages cross-functional team members when needed to solve complex issues, while representing the voice of the customer with a sense of urgency.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
